Select Hiking Trails Switzerland

This site is designed to provide quick, organized access to informative hiking websites about Switzerland. Private hiking enthusiasts like you have created excellent web pages on Swiss hiking trails -- then posted those pages on free web servers -- only to be ignored by search engines. The purpose of this site is to provide a way to find these personal hiking pages, and make your research easier.

  • Alps/General Private homepage specializing in long distance walks through Switzerland. Comprehensive site has more than 80 hiking trail descriptions (mostly in German) loaded with information...huts, timetables, photos, etc. Good all-around website; a must-click site by Ursi Brem.

  • Baerentrek Extremely helpful guide to the famous Baerentrek in Berner Oberland. It contains a 'downloadable' spreadsheet with distances, plenty of photos; well done site.

  • General Switzerland hiking page has links to 2 sections: There are a few day hikes described in the "switzerland" section, and a long-distance route from Sargans to Montreux in the "alpinepassroute" section. Good, informative site by ActivityWorkshop.

  • Swiss Alps A long-distance walk from Tyrol to the Vosges. Terrific photos & info on an outstanding site by Pierre Lavaurs.

There is more in us than we know. If we can be made to see it, perhaps, for the rest of our lives, we will be unwilling to settle for less.
